I get a lot of questions about whether swimmers should stretch and which stretches they should do. I’m doing some research into this. I do know I’ve heard that “static stretching” is not beneficial in warm up and, in fact, can cause harm. I’ve also read that static stretching has a role and that would be in post workout.
